Regina, Thanks for the heads up. I always advise people never to click anyyyyyyyy links from unknown emails .
There is so many things that can happend for example, keylogging, infectections etc.

You’re welcome Dustin and thanks for your comment.
I’m getting some of feedback on people getting spam emails from people they know that contain links with viruses now. So unfortunately, it looks like this virus is spreading.

I got this email this morning. I deleted it of course 🙂

Thanks for sharing. Do you remember who it was “From?” (Just looking for additional data to share with others).
Shirley says
Hi Regina!
I got your alert and one from McAfee about this virus. Then later in the day I got an email with the subject line you mentioned “Have You Seen This” “From” Support”
Luckily I never open emails like that. It is so blatantly malicious. But less savvy individuals will get duped.
If more people signed up for your security alerts there would be a lot fewer victims! (LOL)
Anyway thanks for all ya do!
Regina Smola says
Hi Shirley,
Was it sent to your personal or business email? Many of people are reporting that it is coming to their business email accounts.
You said it had subject “Have You Seen This” and did you say the from name was “Support?”
Personally, I haven’t received one yet. I’m hoping to figure out what the “From” name or “From” email address is that the bad guys are using. This will help identify them in case they change to another subject line.
I’m glad you’re cautious about opening your emails. And yes, you’re right. There are less savvy individuals getting dupped. Unfortunately, there are MANY of them still out there and all we can do is try to educate and warn them. It’s comments like yours that help do that.
Thanks for your kind words and I’m glad you shared your comment with us.

HI Regina,
Yes the email I got was from “Support” and it came to my personal email. I could tell from the preview it was a bogus email.
