WP Security Lock Partners with Better WP Security for Safer WordPress Blogs

December 4, 2013 By Regina Smola 3 Comments

Chris WiegmanBetter WP Security

Our primary goal at WP Security Lock is to help you have a safer WordPress website. We've helped thousands of WordPress users tighten security on their blogs and fixed hundreds of WordPress sites that have been compromised by malicious hackers.

With the rapid growth of WordPress blogs getting hacked, one of the ways we help protect them is by using the Better WP Security plugin.

For the past year or so, we've been working closely with WordPress security expert Chris Wiegman, the developer of  the Better WP Security plugin. Chris's plugin does an amazing job with securing very key elements of WordPress sites and helps keep hackers out of your site.

We have some exciting news!

Today, WP Security Lock and Better WP Security have partnered together to help secure your blog and get it fixed if your site gets hacked.

Chris Wiegman is a very busy guy. Today, he also joins iThemes as their in-house security expert where he will continue to develop the Better WP Security plugin under the iThemes umbrella.

His first order of business is to get started on our very own premium security product for WP that will help proactively protect all your sites, to be released in the very near future. We are also taking over ongoing development and maintenance of Chris’ uber-popular plugin Better WP Security, which has over 1.2 million downloads to date.

We are looking forward to a continued relationship with Chris Wiegman, the Better WP Security plugin, and iThemes.

Side Note. . .

Speaking of iThemes, are you using their BackupBuddy plugin? In addition to Chris's plugin we also highly recommend that everyone use it to do full automated offsite backups on a regular basis.

If you need help installing BackupBuddy or installing and managing your site's theme or anything else, click over to our WordPress Services page.  For malware removal or to clean a hacked website, click here.
