You have probably heard us a million times recommend that you use LastPass password manager – this is an extremely important step to take when it comes to your business.
The mobile app is amazing too so be sure you have both the desktop and mobile versions. You should no longer be saving passwords to your computer but instead save them securely with LastPass.
Protect your identity – Stop typing in your username and password every time you need to log in to anything. Access your LastPass password manager vault both on your computer or via the mobile app to help keep your identity safe.
Passwords – Without a secure password your business is doomed (we see it happen all the time so please take our word for it). Establishing a STRONG password is key and ultimately vital for your business to be successful. If you haven’t already, setup your account with LASTPASS. Begin fighting off hackers that want to sabotage your business! The mobile app is truly a life saver – you should never leave home without it.
Get LastPass on all devices you use including mobile and tablet for ONLY $12 a year.
Password Management – When it comes to password management our team would be lost without LastPass. It not only helps protect your passwords on your computer but on your mobile device as well! LastPass allows us to manage our business and clients on the run. We have safe access to all of our client site login's, hosting login's and more. All managed nicely within the LastPass interface.
How Secure are Your Passwords?
We are hired all the time to fix hacked sites. Some clients have had multiple WordPress sites hacked because they were using the same password on each site! It's very important to use a different password for each site. Keep it more safe even by using a different cPanel for each site. We can help you set that up on Liquid Web.
You might have heard us talk about a client we had….who used the same password on about 6 sites and didn’t change it when he ended a relationship with a sub-contractor. Unfortunately this customer was victimized by his former vendor. Using LastPass and changing the password once the relationship was terminated would have prevented that from happening. Live and learn.
One big benefit to using secure password managers like LastPass is so that you can easily share passwords with whomever you hire to do any type of work for you. For example, you might hire us to watch over your WordPress site on a monthly basis with one of our monthly plans. You would just share your log in information right through LastPass. We would need to see the passwords for all those log ins but let's say you wanted to hire a short term helper for a task, you could easily give them access and choose NOT to share the actual password. So many options!
We think LastPass is one of the best password managers out there.
Long & Strong
Your passwords should be strong with a long combination of letters (upper and lower case), numbers and characters. LastPass has a security check tool to help you find duplicate and weak passwords. It also gives you the ability to fill out forms to save time.
Now go take a look at your current passwords. Are they easy to remember? I highly recommend that you start making the transition to LastPass and taking the time to switch over all those easy to remember passwords like yourname123 to more secure ones.
It’s also time to STOP saving your passwords to your browser. Chrome & Firefox password savers are NOT your friend. Repeat after me, saving passwords in your browser is not good.
We are here to help you secure your business and WordPress sites and help keep the cyber-intruders out! It's our goal to equip you with the understanding of how important it is to use strong passwords not only on your WordPress blogs, but anywhere you log-in online including your email, social accounts like Twitter & Facebook, plus banking sites like PayPal, credit card companies, etc.
Do not let your guard down! Make sure you are safe and secure online!

I have used LastPass for about 4 years now and I could not imagine life having to remember passwords anymore. It is so easy to make secure passwords when you do not have to remember them anymore.

I couldn’t function without LastPass! I have used it for about 3 years. Now for the last year I have also used the mobile app. The best $12.00 I spend a YEAR (so cheap for safety)!! I travel often and am not always connected via my laptop, but my phone is. I go right through my LastPass app to connect securely. It’s easy to use. The most important part is I am safe 🙂
