Sandboxie – The Safer Way to Surf the Web

April 24, 2010 By Guest Post 1 Comment

What is Sandboxie?

This video will show you a brief overview of a wonderful program called Sandboxie. With Sandboxie, you can safely surf the web without worrying about malicious malware or viruses affecting the rest of your computer. You can also use it for simply testing a program on your computer. This is not an anti-virus or firewall. It runs your programs in an isolated environment that prevents any changes to the system files on your computer.

You can download this program at:
http://www.sandboxie.com/

Already using Sandboxie?

If you have already used Sandboxie or other similar applications in the past, please feel free to share with us your user-experience by leaving a comment below.

Until you wrote this post, I had no idea what Sandboxie was. Wow! This looks like an excellent tool for adding security when surfing the net and testing out programs.

Thinking back to all the infected websites I’ve checked for people, it surely will save me a lot of time now without having to run additional malware/virus scans and doing system restores.

Thanks for the excellent tutorial video! I’m downloading it now.

I’m also having my youngest son install this right away! He visits many websites and doesn’t always understand what he’s downloading. To put it mildly, like many teens, he’s had a few mishaps with web surfing and viruses.

Question: I know you mentioned you haven’t noticed any file conflicts, but have you noticed any conflicts or crashes with anti-virus, firewall or any other programs?
